Andrew Bishara

I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and soon moved to Boston for College. I attended MIT for undergraduate studies, where I studied Mechanical Engineering and completed my premedical courses. I am currently a fourth year medical student at Harvard Medical School (HMS). During my time at MIT I researched and designed robotic prosthetics for amputees, helped lead a senior design team that created a Braille- labeler that has since become the product called 6Dot, and led the mechanical engineering side of designing a photo-bioreactor to sustainably grow Spirulina (a nutritious edible bacteria) to combat malnutrition in developing countries. I also worked as an EMT for the MIT Emergency Medical Service for one year and as a Resident Associate Advisor at my dorm for three years. While at HMS I was project manager at a medical device company called DNA Medicine Institute (DMI). My work at DMI was focused on creating a point of care device to measure blood cell counts.

Fransiska Hadiwidjana

I was born in Surabaya, Indonesia. Currently I just received my B.Sc. degree from Informatics Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology. I have strong interest in science and technology ever since I was little. I had joined and won some scientific competitions, such as in International Junior Science Competition and Indonesia National Programming Contest. In 22 years old, I had more than eight working experience, including intern at Microsoft South Asia and Pacific, student developer at City of Bloomington Indiana-US under the Google Summer of Code 2012 program, IT Expert at President’s Delivery Unit of Indonesia, part time researcher at Batavia Incubator, and assistant at Database Laboratory ITB. These entire I did in my time at University, where I also maintain my academic excellence, obtained full bond-free scholarship from Accenture, and become the best graduate of Electrical Engineering and Informatics class at October 2012 convocation.

Marc Succi

I grew up in Toronto, Ontario and am a fourth year M.D. candidate at Harvard Medical School (HMS). I am currently conducting biomedical research in regenerative therapeutics and nanotechnology in the Langer and Karp laboratories of MIT and Brigham and Women's Hospital, respectively. Prior to moving to Boston, I attained my undergraduate degree in 2009 from McMaster University in the field of Health Science with honorary medals from the Governor General of Canada and Provost for finishing with the highest academics in the university. I founded and direct a medical-based media and education organization, with services used globally by medical professionals and trainees. At HMS I joined with the anatomy department to design and teach radiology-based anatomy lectures to first year HMS students, employing a problem-based, clinically focused approach to dissections. I have a broad experience and a deep passion for robotics and electrical engineering which began in high school (F.I.R.S.T. Robotics) and has continued ever since.
